Goldthorpe Primary School lies at the heart of the local community. It was located on the previous site since 1903 which means we were there for 113 years! In the summer of 2016 we relocated to our new site and opened our doors in September 2016.  There are currently over 280 pupils on roll.

Our vision is to develop the holistic potential of all our pupils so they become successful, responsible, active members of society.

Goldthorpe Primary Academy is a highly ambitious and aspirational learning environment where we strive at all times to find even more ways of enhancing our work to provide every child with an outstanding start to their school life in an exciting centre of learning, characterised by high standards in literacy and numeracy, a rich, broad and balanced curriculum and a happy, safe and supportive environment. Our academy has a strong commitment to meeting the needs of children and their families and promotes strong relationships with the community.
